About EU Work Tools
A buyer's guide for EU organisations evaluating productivity software after Schrems II — published by the team behind YourPAZ.
Why this site exists
Procurement teams across the EU are quietly re-evaluating their SaaS stack. The post-Schrems II legal landscape, the 2025 challenge to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the EU AI Act, and the renewed strategic appetite for "European digital sovereignty" have all converged on a single procurement question: does this tool process our data only in the EU, with no US sub-processor handling content, and no US-based AI provider in its prompt path?
That question is hard to answer from vendor marketing pages alone. EU Work Tools exists to answer it, line by line, vendor by vendor, with a methodology that prefers verifiable disclosure over marketing claims.
What we cover
- Project management software with full EU residency.
- All-in-one workspaces with EU hosting.
- EU-native AI providers — Mistral, Aleph Alpha, OVHcloud's offering, and others.
- Procurement guidance — TIAs, DPAs, sub-processor lists.
What we don't
- Tools without EU residency at any tier. We mention them only when comparing to EU-hosted alternatives.
- Enterprise-only solutions that require sales engagement to even price. EU SMBs can't use them.
- Legal advice. We are not a law firm. Consult your DPO for jurisdiction-specific decisions.
Who we are
EU Work Tools is written and maintained by the team behind YourPAZ — one of the tools in our ranking, and the one we rank first. We build an EU-hosted productivity workspace ourselves, which is why we know this procurement problem from the inside, and it is also why you should read our rankings knowing we have a stake in the outcome. Our answer to that conflict is not to hide it but to make every claim checkable: factual statements about competitors come from their public pricing pages, documentation and trust centers, scores are presented as our editorial judgment, and the methodology page explains per criterion how to verify things yourself.
Editorial principles
- Verify, don't trust. Vendor claims are starting points, not conclusions — including ours. We tell you where each fact comes from.
- Disclose conflicts. We build YourPAZ. That relationship is disclosed on every page of this site.
- Update when reality changes. A vendor that gains or loses EU residency moves immediately.
- Procurement-grade. Our writing aims to be usable in a DPO's evaluation document, not just in a buyer's evening reading.
